HTSSN-The Boise SpudPeddlers opened their wallets the other day and snuck a surprise IFA signing in on us. Spending a whopping 17m on Rico Johnson who hails from Tecamachalco, MX. Rico is projected as a SS and has a lot to learn. Batting wise, he has a good eye, power and splits but has a tendency to swing early and not make contact as well as some would like. Although not blessed with blazing he will cause pitchers and catchers to try and hold him at first as he is a threat to steal. With his abilities he will probably be slotted as a lead off or #2 in the lineup. There is a good chance that he might be converted to 3B at some point in his career.
