IFA News

Speaking of spending big, the Toronto FivTs spent their life savings on Marino Diaz. A behemoth power hitting 2B who is a Cuban runaway. His birth certificate and steroid use are in question however. In the meantime has found his way onto the Low A roster and is hitting .368 with 2HRs and 2 DBLs in 4 games. His only English is "Mo Money!".

The Washington D.C. Senators snuck in under the radar to scoop up Vicente Perez. A SP hailing from La Romana, DO. Looks like the kid could have a bright future, the low price may have been due to the fact that he hasn't got a good out pitch.

The Washington D.C. Senators also recently acquired Enrique Castillo from Ramon Santana, DO. A nice hitting prospect, who is listed as a 2B. Though his skills at 2B are anemic at best, he will make his way in the world as either a strong 1B or LF defensively.

IFA Watch:
Ramon Nomura has a .338 average with 8 HRs at Low A.

Fernando Gutierrez has a .290 average and has performed exceptionally well at the "Hot Corner" in Low A ball.
