IFA News

Toledo signed pitcher, Max Mendoza to a record deal and the only one of its kind due to a bug snafu (think it was more a misunderstanding than a bug myself). A 5 year $5M dollar deal with a $10M signing bonus had everybody say "WoWzers!". However, I think he was worth the money and will become the cornerstone of the organization for years to come. Thrust into the limelight at such a young age for a ML player is undaunting but has performed well.

Anaheim Baja Racers signedAngel Guzman to a MiLB contract with a $5M bonus which makes him a cheap pick up. A little weak in the glove but projects to be a great hitter.

Charleston RiverDogs signed Carlos Olmeda to a 3 year MLB contract and $4.8M bonus. The only fault with this LF/1B is his somewhat weak health but projects to be a formidable power hitter.

Houston Not So Nice signed Luis Jose to a MiLB contract and a $4.6M bonus. Making the ML might be a stretch with having only an out pitch along with some other unredeeming qualities. He does have great control and pretty good splits.

Oakland Seals signed Desi Posada to a MiLB contract and $4M bonus. Currently listed as a weak 3B defensively with some odd power hitting skills. May take a while to see how this kid performs.

Oakland Seals also signed Charles Martin to a MiLB contract with $2.4M bonus. He is an interesting choice considering his control.

Honolulu Warriors signed Michael Cho to a MiLB contract and a $1.5M bonus. If projections are reached could easily be the steal of the IFA market so far. A defensive SS/CF that will be tough on righties if his lack of patience doesn't get in the way.
