The Glory Kids and the Harsh Critic

HtSSN-Who has a bright future in the Major Leagues? I am scouring the minor leagues looking for those players and see what I think of them.

Atlanta:
Bert Kershner - They are hopeful, but I say this left-handed pitcher is over-rated and will be a bust at the ML level.

Sammy Pelaez - This right-handed pitcher has already demonstrated what he is made of at Rookie level this year should be great.

Augusta:
Felix Crawford - Already injury prone, this over-rated left-handed pitcher looks like another bust.

Sergio Ingram - Could be a very good right-handed pitcher at the ML level if he learns to keep the ball in the park.

Artie Browne - Could be a good right-handed pitcher at the ML level and has learned to keep the ball in the park.

Austin:
Benito Camacho - Hitting could be erratic as he has the power and eye but lacks the split coverage. Defensively should be great, may over run a few causing a minus play every now and then but the pluses will out weigh them.

Boise:
Howard Fitzgerald - A Rookie 2B that will make an impact later as he has a lot to learn defensively. Hitting wise should make a great lead-off hitter and lots of stolen bases.

Cheyenne:
Irv Rooney - A young CF that will put up great hitting numbers in the future. Defensively better suited to play 2B and backup at CF.

Jung-Lee Kojima - Wow, what a hitter he will be and defensively adequate at 2B.

Chicago:
Geronimo Rodriguez - Right-handed pitcher that will strike out many in his career may have trouble against lefties though.

Colorado:
Lewis Harvey - Highly over-rated 2B that has a low eye and high splits with good power and contact. Will never be a 2B but will look good at COF and batting 6th or later in the order.

Bubba Bailey - Another over-rated 2B that will be better at COF. Offensive production will make him very good in the near future.

Helena:
Bo Hand A right-handed LF power hitter, has a lot to learn so a bright future is in store for this kid.

Honolulu:
Shea Nelson - Right-handed pitcher that may have a good career at the ML if he can keep the ball in the park, but that has not been his MO so far. Maybe over-rated but the jury is still out.

Leon Little - A right-handed power hitting SS, a rare find. Actually a little short in the defense department for an elite SS or CF but I wouldn't hold him out of either position if I had nothing else, would really be great at 3B or 2B.

Charlie Plant - Right-hand power hitting COF. Has some things to learn but will be at the ML level in the near future.

Houston:
Burt Key - Over-rated 2B that will hit for average with a little power
in the future. Better position would be LF or 1B.

Darryl Hentgen - A Left-handed pitcher that will strike a lot of batters but will he be able to keep the power hitters in the park is the question.

Las Vegas:
Cristobal Mangual - A power hitting 1B with average splits that could make him somewhat over-rated.

Anthony Cross -A right-handed 2B that will hit for average with a little power thrown in. Defensively a little short in the range department but shouldn't hurt too badly.

Little Rock:
Brian Hara - A left-handed pitcher that has all the tools to be a Cy Young award winner in the future, provided he stays healthy.

Fernando Carreras - A right-handed power hitter that has a lot to learn before his future debut. Listed as a LF, though I would make him a 2B or CF even though his arm is a little questionable.

Jose Pena - A right-handed pitcher with good stuff and should be a future star.

Morgan Harris A switch
-hitting for average 2B with some power. Should be good in the near future.

New York Dragons:
Ben Fox - An over-rated for average hitting SS with some power in the future. Defensively somewhat weak for the SS or CF position, would make a better 2B or 3B.

Oakland:
Darin Coco - A switch-hitting power SS that should be good in the future. Defensively too short in the range department to be highly effective, would be better at 3B and maybe 2B.

Oklahoma:
Ernie Duckworth - A left-handed pitcher with good stuff. Will the control, velocity and pitches make up for the weak vsR remains to be seen.

Patrick Sherman - An over-rated left-handed pitcher with most of the tools. My feeling is the splits aren't enough to overcome the low control.

Pawtucket:
Garry Fischer - An under-rated right-handed shut down closer of the future.

Bruce Roberts - A right-handed for average hitting 2B that has a lot to learn before the ML level. Defensively will be good and even a backup in CF if needed.

Yamil Fernandez - A left-handed pitcher that may be somewhat over-rated. His low control will be covered with a good PC catcher, but has a ways to go before a ML start.

Philadelphia:
Junior Bennett - A right-handed hitting 3B/2B. Hitting could be a bit erratic along with playing 3B, but would make anybodies home at CF/2B.

Pittsburgh:
Carl Blue - A right-handed power hitting RF and could be great in the near future.

Santa Cruz:
Ross Gordon - A good all around 2B that has much to learn before he makes his ML debut.

Seattle:
Nick Woodward - A right handed pitcher that may be a little over-rated but fits into the Seattle equation. If he can keep the ball in the park, could be good.

Eric Williamson - A right-handed pitcher that should be good in the future.

Harry Dickey - An over-rated power switch-hitting left handed CF (a mouth full). Defensively short for CF, SS or 2B as he will get there but may not catch it, and his arm is questionable at 3B, but could play either one effectively.

Michael McDermott - A right-handed pitcher that has a good future ahead.

Texas:
Stan Oquist - An over-rated right-handed power hitting 2B. Defensively a little short at 2B will probably find his home at a COF position.

Taylor Henderson - A right-handed pitcher that could be a good starter in the rotation and could vie for a Cy Young in the future.

Toronto:
Jorge James - A right-handed power hitting SS and may be ready next year. Can play almost anywhere very well, though a little range short for CF.

Sean Smith - A right-handed power hitting 2B that could also be ready next year.

Sergei Ellis - An over-rated left-handed power hitting 2B. Defensively better suited for COF.

Trevor Marquis - A right-handed pitcher with all the tools. Could also vie for a Cy Young in the future.

Bernard Myers -
A right-handed pitcher with all the tools. Could also vie for a Cy Young in the future.

J.C. Watson
- A right-handed pitcher with all the tools. Could also vie for a Cy Young in the future.

Banana Douglass - An over-rated right-handed power hitting 2B. Defensively a COF position in his future.

Eduardo Rincon -
A right-handed pitcher with all the tools.

*Note: What a future this team has

Washington:
James Chang - A left-handed pitcher that has the capability if he can learn to keep the ball in the park.
